Want to get started in mindfulness? This discipline, similar to meditation, allows us to correctly manage thoughts and emotions. Its literal translation means ‘mindfulness’ or ‘full awareness’, since practicing it makes us more aware of our feelings, thoughts and actions.
With the aim of offering you tools to introduce you to mindfulness, in mid-May we will begin an introductory course consisting of 6 sessions of 2 hours per week. The classes, which will start on May 16th, will be held every Thursday, from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm.
The course will be taught by the experienced mindfulness and yoga teacher Raquel Flores, who has been trained at the Mindfulness Association and follows the training itinerary of the University of Massachusetts. The price of the complete course, including materials, is 155,00 €.

Center for mindfulness stress reduction program

The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program of the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts -MBSR- is a training in which participants train emotional regulation through mindfulness. The training to increase awareness of body sensations, thoughts and emotions favors a more effective management of difficult situations in everyday life, which reduces stress levels and increases well-being.
The MBSR course consists of an orientation session, 8 weekly classes -of between 2.5 and 3 hours duration- and a full day of intensive practice. Throughout the program, the biopsychosocial foundations of stress reactivity are explored at a theoretical level and various formal and informal mindfulness practices are trained to promote higher levels of serenity, calmness and awareness to cope with stressful experiences.
